Acting is more emotional than it’s anything else. There's a lot of people that get into it, because they have a vision of how they want to look as an actor and that has to die on the rocks, because every time I pick up a script, I don't know where it’s going, I don't know where I'm going. I'm okay with whatever it looks like, that may not look so good and you got to be okay with it. You can't play some version and its deep stuff, because it's like you saw some soap opera years ago and somewhere in your head you thought “well that's what acting looks like” when it's how the character is always you. How would I be under these given circumstances, in this scenario. Guys, it takes a village! Just like you didn't teach yourself to walk by yourself or talk by yourself. You can’t teach yourself to act by yourself. Somebody asked me not so long ago: “Couldn’t I just watch a lot of Youtube videos?” I go: “Yeah, when they talk back to you. You know, when they start to talk back to you, yeah then maybe you can learn something.” Unless they’re going to say something to you and give you an adjustment and you really respect the person in the video, it’s probably not going to work. Actors are warriors of the heart and this is really fearless school more than anything.
